An Essay in Movement

 

A practical, hands-on, energetic group activity in which participants become parts of an assigned essay/writing task, grouping, re-grouping to satisfy assignment demands.

 

This activity is adaptable to a wide range of writing activities and appeals to all types of learners and practitioners.

 

Choreography is an added bonus.

 

A wiki with PP presentation and extra resources will be available. 

 


 Audience:  Middle/High

 

Session will include possible activities for grades 7 - 10.

Cheryl Keegan originally taught in Australia before venturing overseas twenty-five years ago. Has worked and lived in Asia, Europe, South America and the Pacific. An English teacher first and foremost, but along the way a CAS co-ordinator and college counsellor. Presently an IB Diploma English A1 examiner and workshop leader in CAS. Enjoying her first year at UWCSEA.

Alexei Gafan

 Alexei Gafan is originally from Gibraltar and has taught in the UK and Sweden. He trained as a teacher of English, Drama and Media Studies.  Alexei has spent the past five years teaching IB MYP and Diploma English at Stockholm International School and is currently teaching IB Diploma A2 English as well English in Grades 7-10, at UWCSEA.
