SoftlinkOliver:Engaging Hands-on Learning in the Library
Oliver is an exciting web-based library management solution from Softlink used to facilitate literacy and learning in thousands of schools across Australia, New Zealand, the US and the UK.
This hands-on workshop will demonstrate some of the latest developments in library management technology and how Oliver’s advanced, yet easy-to use features caterfor students of all literacy level, cultural background and information need around the world.
Attendees will interact with Softlink’s brand-new animated kids’ catalogue, Olly!, as well as see how Picture Search, self-management and Web 2.0 technology features each work to engage students, improve staff productivity and achieve school objectives.
Presented by Softlink’s International Marketing Director, Chris McPhee, the workshop will conclude with an open “Question & Answer” session for existing Softlink customers and conference delegates alike.

Presenter: Chris McPhee has a diverse career history in the library and information management industry – including eight years in various roles at Softlink, Australia’s leading provider for school libraries.
During his time at Softlink, Chris has met many school librarians, teachers and principals in US, UK and the Asia Pacific regions to investigate how Softlink can help them to satisfy needs and overcome challenges they commonly face in library and information management.
